Hockey
Both of the MBIS Hockey teams had strong campaigns at AIMS this year. It was a small, strong field of 16 teams in the boys' comp and 23 teams in the girls' comp.
The boys had some tough games in the pool rounds and suffered some losses, but only by narrow margins. They came into their own in the later 'cross-over' games and finished a commendable 10th.
The Girls' team suffered an early loss, also, but rebounded to then win a succession of games, which got them into the Top 8 and then Semi-finals. They lost a tight game in their Semi, which put them into the 3rd/4th play off. They played a great final game, and fought very hard, finishing their tournament in 4th place.
Thank you to the coaches, Paul Hayes, Sandra Leith and Keri Maunder, for the wonderful support they have given the players this year.

This team was such a pleasure to watch, amazing talent! And good humble boys too, saw them several times around the gym over the week watching different games and getting to know other kids. Represented their school very well.
