HOW TO ENROL

Transition visits help to orientate students by visiting us.


The dates for transition visits are as follows:

Monday 3 August: Campbells Bay (Bus provided)
Tuesday 4 August: Mairangi Bay / Pinhill (Bus provided)
Wednesday 5 August: Browns Bay / Sunnynook (Bus provided)
Thursday 6 August: Murrays Bay (Students to walk)
Friday 7 August: St Johns, All other school's students (Students will need to make their own way to Murrays Bay Intermediate School)

The format of the day will be as follows:

9.20am Bus departs your school
9.45am Arrive at Murrays Bay Intermediate and make your way to the hall.
Colin Dale, Paul Evitt, Shannon Gilmore and the School Leaders to speak to the students
10.25am Students to have a break with our students outside
10.45am Performance by Murrays Bay groups-Concert Band / Orchestra / Choir. Discussion about the musical opportunities offered at Murrays Bay Intermediate
11.30am Tour around the school with Management team and School Leaders
12.15pm Bus departs back to your school

If you would like your students to bring morning tea with them you are most welcome. We will leave this to your discretion.

Students will receive their enrolment packs at this time with prospectus, pamphlet, uniform details and the enrolment card to bring back to school.

Other important dates involving enrolment and transition are as follows:

Wednesday 12th August

Open Day and Parent Information Evening, which begins at 7:30pm.

Tours of the school will depart at 9am, 11am and 1:30pm from the school staffroom.

Week of 25th-28th August Enrolment Week
 
Tuesday 25th August: 7.30am to 8.00pm Browns Bay / Mairangi Bay
  Wednesday 26th August: 7.30am to 8.00pm Campbells Bay
 
Thursday 27th August: 7.30am to 8.00pm Murrays Bay
  Friday 28th August: 7.30am to 5.00pm St Johns/Sunnynook/Pinehill/ All other schools
Wednesday 28th October Band programme and information evening 7:30pm
Week of 9th-13th November Shannon Gilmore to visit contributing schools at a negotiated time to speak to Year 6 teachers and collect data on students enrolled at MBIS

 

Please note, this is a guide, and if parents are unable to come on the allocated day, they can come at a time convenient to them.

We will be accepting all pupils who wish to enrol for the 2010 school year.
