Due to COVID 19 and our return to L3 the ICAS testing window has been shifted to 12 - 30 October. ICAS tests cannot be taken at home, so all tests will now take place in October.
All students who registered will sit the test during the new window. Students with a Chromebook cannot take the ICAS Spelling test as the required Janison lock-down browser software cannot be installed.
If your child is registered for ICAS Spelling and does not have access to a device other than a Chromebook, please contact Ms McAleer.
We recognise that Motutapu students will be at Camp in the new window for October. We will make accommodations so that students who have registered will not miss the opportunity to sit the tests.
Tiritiri students who missed the registration for ICAS Maths will be able to register for the October sitting.
The school participates in the ICAS competitions administered by the University of New South Wales each year. This is an opportunity for pupils to take part in international assessment tasks and to compare their abilities with other children throughout New Zealand as well as internationally.
Specific preparation for ICAS tests is not required as the assessments are skills-based.
