Our enrolment officer will email you to request the required documentation. Upon receipt of the documentation, the appropriate Dean will contact you to arrange an interview with you and your child.
Out-of-zone applications for 2026 are closed.

2027 Enrolments
STEP ONE: COMPLETE A PRE-ENROLMENT FORM
Determine if your address is IN-ZONE or OUT-OF-ZONE for Murrays Bay Intermediate School: Check my Address.
IN-ZONE Students:
Complete the Pre-Enrolment Form. To assist with appropriate planning for 2027 please enrol by 31st August.
Students who live in the Murrays Bay Intermediate School zone may enrol at the school as of right, provided:
They are entitled to a state education;
They live in-zone as their main residence with a parent or legal guardian.
OUT-OF-ZONE Students:
Complete the Pre-Enrolment Form before 31 August 2026.
The Ministry of Education Out-of-Zone ballot is drawn: 9 September 2026.
Students will be notified via email of the ballot outcome within 3 working days of the draw.
OUT-OF-ZONE spaces available
Year 7 = 108 out-of-zone places are likely to be available 2027.
Year 8 = 9 out-of-zone places are likely to be available 2027.
Note the exact out-of-zone places will depend upon the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zoning.

All students from the following schools have a pre-arranged visit:
Murrays Bay Primary / Browns Bay Primary / Campbells Bay Primary / Pinehill School / Mairangi Bay School / Sunnynook Primary School

NON-Contributing School Students:
If your child does NOT attend one of the contributing schools listed, and would like to visit our school, please complete this registration form.
Dates available for non-contributing schools - student visit:
Friday 14 August 2026 or Monday 17 August 2026
Drop Off: 9:00 am (at Reception) Collection: 12:15 pm (from Reception)
This visit is for students only.
Students do not need to wear their uniform.
Students must bring morning tea and a named water bottle to the visit.
DATE OF IMPORTANCE:
PARENT OPEN EVENING - 20 August 2026 6pm to 8pm
TRANSITION INTERVIEWS
Tuesday, 10 November, from 3.45 pm to 8.00 pm.
Wednesday, 11 November from 3.45 pm to 8.00 pm.
Thursday, 12 November from 3.45 pm to 8.00 pm.
All confirmed enrolled students and their families are required to attend the Transition Interviews. Further information on how to book will be communicated once the Ballot has been drawn and the final placement confirmations have been sent out.
